I dont know how large your wedding is, but I see that you are a August bride. Make sure you look at the date on the bag because chocolate can tend to get that chalky white substance on it and become no good if kept too long. I would not open them till at least a month or less prior to your wedding and if you can keep them in the fridge. Helps keep them fresh. I am doing about the same thing but I have a very small wedding about 15 people and since I am a July 4th bride, I am waiting till the week or 2 prior since they will put out the holiday themed kisses. Ok actually someone just sent me a link from Hersheys that gives how they use their best buy date and how to store. On the each bag is a code, the second to last digit is for the year its best buy for example, 8=2008, 9=2009 and 0=10 and so forth, and then the last digit is the month, A=Jan, B=Feb, C=March. I hope this helps and is not too confusing. I would have had no clue had a friend do this for me. They also said best to keep at room temp, 65-70 degrees.

Mis Melissa, I'd leave them packaged as long as possible, Myabe assemble your boxes now, tent eh week before open the kisses and put them in boxes.

BTW I was going to use kisses and hugs as favours, how many are you using in each box, and what size boxes did you buy? (and from where?)
