Well this is really up to your bridesmaids or whoever is hosting your bridal shower. You shouldn't be involved in planning it. If they are asking you for a date that works and that's why you are wondering I would say any time withint three month of the wedding is fine. Mine was about 6 weeks before the wedding.
My wedding date is a day before yours :) and we were thinking September 4th, or August 28th.
Mine is going to be a surprise- but I suspect it'll be in August... not sure though. My friend is getting married Sept 25th and hers is in July.
My wedding is a few weeks after yours and my shower will be August 14th. It was what worked best for me and my bridal party. We played with dates before/after but that's when we could all make it. I like having it close, but not too close to the big day.
Because my wedding is so close to the holidays, my first shower is being thrown for me on October 16.
my friend is getting married around the same time as you are and they're planning a shower in august for her.
