@TogetherThroughLife:  We’re getting married one day apart from one another! Yay! I’d love to know where all the time went- we had a 17 month engagement and now we’re down to 5 weeks + 4 days. Things over here are getting done and we have several to do lists hanging up and I’m constantly checking things off. I’m sure the next <6 weeks will fly by!!

@TogetherThroughLife:  Ha. I’ve gone from making an enormous to do list to also making a weekly list of things to do. It’s just the way I’m programmed, I’m always making lists and checking things off. I can’t say I don’t care…but it’s definitely dwindling and we both really just want to be married and be on the beach in Mexico with a cocktail. Seriously.

I stopped pretty much everything about a month before the wedding and just relaxed. I decided that whatever I hadn’t done yet wasn’t important and I would just forget about it. I really wasn’t super stressed out until the day before when I had to start getting everything decorated and ready.

I was stressed then looked at my list and I went from like 30 things down to like 5 because I just decided they weren’t important anymore.

Now my only real stress is the pastor (totally not important or anything right?!), because our old one dropped out a week ago, and the replacement wants to change everything in the ceremony less than 3 weeks away from the wedding. So we may have to find a new one. Sigh…

@skybe:  I’ve definitely scratched things off of the list or merged things to create less work. Our goal is to get all DIY stuff done by the end of this month, and now seeing that that’s on Sunday I’m a bit unsure of that happening. As long as the day before the wedding I don’t have a darn glue gun in my hand, all is well!!

@TogetherThroughLife:  I’m considering pre-writing all the cards for the bridal party thanking them. I feel like that’s something I should wait to do, but at this point it’s just another item to get done!

@TogetherThroughLife:  That is sooo lucky! Unfortunately the pastor who is the replacement is a good family friend (which I’ll admit, we are very lucky she could step in at the last minute) who likes to be really hands on, and wants it to go how she thinks it should go. This would be okay, except we have everything planned with our other pastor. And I don’t want to re-plan the entire ceremony less than 3 weeks before.. haha

@caits615:  soooo true!

@caits615:  I also totally wrote my cards already. Actually I typed them into a document to transfer to cards. Which I’ll do …ummm… soon? It’s totally something that’s easy to just cross off. Especially when you know what you are going to say probably isn’t going to change! Ha!

  • Wedding: June 2011

Hi there

I have been married for almost 2 years now. This coming June will be our 2 year anniversary.

I think it will be as stressful as you let it to be. I know this is easier said but try to focus and YOU. Make yourself look wonderful. Make sure you know what you want for you hair, make up, nails. Everything else will come to place 🙂

My wedding day was wonderful. There were a lot of things that happened that I didn’t plan. For example, the music that my husband composed for our ceremony didn’t play. It was silent when I walked down the aisel!!
