Weddingbee boards

So I just ordered a centerpiece to do a mock up. It's 16 inches tall. FI is concerned that it's too tall and people won't be able to see across the table. I'm thinking that if we're having 10 people per table, it's gong to be a rather large table and that the centerpiece should be fairly large.   So how tall was your center piece?

This is the vase I ordered:

We're having some centerpieces that are about a foot tall and other centerpieces that are about three feet.  However, the tall ones will be mostly clear for the bottom two feet so people can see through them.

I agree that with ten people at a table, no one will really be talking to people across the table.  However, I would feel kind of funny if I couldn't even see the people across from me.  I would feel blocked in.

@divergirl:  My centerpiece clear glass trumpet vases are 24inches and 32 inches, at the time I thought the same thing that the bigger the vase since the table was round and huge however I would have light to have order some tall ones and alternating with short and tall ones maybe placing the taller arrangements on the outsides and in the middle tables making them short .
