Are you rockin' the ballet flats, or striding down the aisle on stiletto heels?
How tall are (or were!) your shoes, and if you have a pic -- show us!
Stilettos, baby! I am 5'2" to my fiance's 6'5". No way could I rock ballet flats around him. These are 4.5" and I love them:
Mine will be 3.5 inches tall. I just ordered these, so I haven't tried them on yet, but I think the ankle strap and sturdy heel will keep me from toppling over.
Mine were wedges, just over an inch- the reception was tented and we took a lot of outdoor pics, so I didn't want to sink in the grass. Plus I'm a wuss when it comes to heels and I didn't want my feet hurting!
Mine are 3". I wasn't able to find a picture on their main site as they are an older style (but I just bought them maybe 6 months ago). But I did find a pair available on Ebay with a picture. The heel is taller than they look there.
Mine are only 3.5", so I'll be a little under 6' for the wedding. ;)
I got them for, like, $40 so they were pretty much the best shoe ever.
I'm worried about my shoes, the ones I currently have are 3.5" pumps. I would carry flats with me, but then wouldn't I be tripping over my dress?
Anyone know the solution to this? I've heard of people changing shoes but I have no idea how it's possible.
My shoes have about 3 inch heels and I am 5' 9.5''. Luckily, Mr. Library is pretty much 6'1". My shoes are Blue Cosmos print from David's Bridal. They are just so cute! It'll work!

@Chicagobride, the problem with changing shoes is that most women get their dresses altered to fit the length of their dresses wearing heels. They don't take into account at all that you lose height when you change into flats or go barefoot, thus causing yourself and others to trip over your dress. If you choose to wear flats or go barefoot at any point, be sure that your dress is altered for that height.
@ october2010bride thikn your shoes are stunning, although there is no way in the world I could walk in them!

With the small platform and heal, mine are 4.5" tall. I'm so excited!!!!

6cm - I'm a wimp in the shoe stakes! No, but really, I'm only about 1/3" shorter than FH and I wanted a little bit of heel with my dress. So I'll be a bit taller than him but we're fine with it.
Mine are 2 3/4 inches, I had taller shoes but since I am pretty much the same height as my FI, I didn't want to tower over him too much. I pretty much never wear flats, so that wasn't even a consideration.

Mine are 2.5 inches. I wanted a heel but not too much, since I don't plan on changing out of them at all.
Here are mine! They're about 3.5" I think? I'm the kind of girl who wears heels to the grocery store, so heels are my wedding are a must. The shoes aren't as yellow-green as they are in the pic. I looove them!
@swissbride - Thanks! I get that with most of the shoes I wear since I am a high-heel gal through and through. I've had lots of practice walking in 4" heels by now - I've been doing it since I was 13. I'm 28 now :)
I'm 5'11" and my shoes are 3.25 inches, so I'll be about 6'2"-6'3". My fiancé is about 6'1". Thankfully neither of us care who is taller!
mine are 4'' and they are Badgley Mishka I Love them so much. My friend told me to rub Tooth numbing gel on the bal of my foot and it makes your foot go numb.
Mine are 120 mm CL's, which is about 4.75 inches. My FI is about 9 inches taller than me so my strategy is usually the taller the better
I am 5'8.5" and I am wearing 1" wedges which will pout me at 5'9.5"....my FI is 6'4" tall so he will still be over half a foot taller than me
Westie: Where did you get those shoes?? I love them! My fiance is 6'9 so the more height the better, and the platform makes it so much more comfortable!
Mine are around 4" and I love them. I plan to change into converse all-stars after the first dance. I'll just have to hold my dress up so I don't trip.

@colorful: Her shoes are Christian Louboutins. I couldn't fine the exact pair online (I'm assuming because they are from a spring/summer line?) but I know they run around $6-700. You can check saks or barneys or neimans website for more of his similar styles. Hope that helps!
@colorfulbride: I got them at Barney's in Boston. I knew I wanted to get that brand (my first justifiable excuse) and looked at every pair in town, then we came upon these on "sale" so I decided to just buy them
They seem like they will be super comfy for their height. I have seen them around on ebay though they are called Hyper Prive in Shocking Pink.
Here's mine. They are just over 4". I think Michael Kors named them "Danger" for a reason! I'd probably wear something lower if it wasn't for the fact that my FI is 8" taller than me! I really wanted to close in on some of that difference!
@Mandalynne where did you get them from? and how much? they are amazing!
I forgot to post a picture! I'm such a ditz sometimes.
They're Rachel Simpson's Scarlett in Champagne leather.
@simpleandchic -- Thanks! I originally found them on either Piperlime or Zappos (I can't remember which) I think they are from last season. I found them on Overstock.com. They were about $120 I believe. I don't think they have them anymore, but they used to come in red, too.
cool thread! i LOVE seeing everyone's shoes. :)
I however am wearing gorgeous flats. I'm 5'8" and DH is exactly the same height as me!
I do wish I could wear heels - but I also have extremely sensitive feet (possibly neuropathy? not sure, having it checked out with sleep issues in january...) but anywhoooo.
I'm having these dyed orange:

@Junebride- Those are cute though, and awesome that they're dyeable. Where from, pray tell?

I am aiming for about 3-4" heels, but really want to be comfortable, too. Anyone have any suggestions in the $300 or less range?
@little miss moo i love love love your shoes!!! they are only in the UK aren't they? just my luck!
