Hmm, I see what you are saying and it has me worried too.  I have a sweetheart neckline as well and was planning on wearing simple pearls.  I kind of do think it chops you off at the neck but maybe its not like that in person?  I mean, women wear simple pearls all the time.  I would look around at pictures of others and see what you think on other people to make the decision.  btw, you look beautiful!

Adding a pearl drop/pendant to that string would be nice; you could do matching drop pearl earrings as well.

Are you going to wear your hair up or down (or half-up?)?  That would change the look also.

I think you should wear what you want, but I do think the pearls add a bit of neck choppage. I would at least try a pendant style and see what you like better. Maybe you can still have classy pearls incorporated into a hair accessory!!
