say you just found out you have a parasite that takes 9 months to grow internally, after which it requires an additional 18 years, lol. I've seen that one before.
I am very anti fb announcements as the first time to hear news, however a friend who I hardly ever see even after she and I did get to speak, and she told me in person, a few weeks later did a "bun in oven" facebook status and she and her DH took a pic at the oven with a yummy bread on a plate infront of her belly. Simple and cute!
@shelly.mg0924: I think there's a picture of Lucy from Peanuts being pregnant, and the caption is "Damn you Charlie Brown!" That's how one of my friends announced hers and I thought it was hilarious!
I have friends that waited to make the FB announcement until they knew the sex (also giving them time to tell people in person). So they took a picture with both of them wearing baby blue shirts and wrote "Team Blue!". It was super cute!
One of my FB friends just said "is with child," as her status. I thought it was sort of old world cute. Love the peanuts pic!
I waited until we found out the gender and announced it then - by then all of our friends and family knew anyways so it was more to let ppl know about the gender (and also to let others who I don't keep in touch with often) know we are expecting.

Someone on Hello Bee said they were going to take a picture next to a "Bump Ahead" road sign and put it as their profile picture, I thought that was pretty cute!
It would also be cute to take a picture of you by one of those "new or expecting mothers" parking signs and post the picture.
@Heatherloveskenny: That's what we did! We had to photoshop the "bump" part in because we couldn't find a sign :) Our friends and family loved it!
I've heard of people using the I Love Lucy skit and love that!
I shared a pic of my husband and I holding a I Love <insert sports team> onesie. :)
My friend did one, she's due the 4th of July, she said she had a little firecracker inside of her.
My friend changed her profile pic to a cartoon bun in an oven.

I saw a cute one the other day; it was a picture of the couple with the phrase "Jill & Jack are...." then in the picture they were holding a bottle of Prego spaghetti sauce. I thought it was different and cute!
Take a pic of your shoes, his shoes, and a pair of baby shoes and make it your profile picture and see how long it takes people to catch it.

A girlfriend of mine announced her pregnancy on Thanksgiving by saying something like "I can't wait to eat my feast! Considering I'm eating for TWO!"
My SIL announced over Halloween, how she did it was a picture of pumpkins one for each person in the familiy below each pumpkin she wrote a name then the last one was a question mark. It said something like this that they were expecting a little pumpkin in the spring of 2012. It was pretty cute.

@linguo42: That's the pic I posted! I didn't "SAY" anything, I merely changed my profile pic to the picture and just waited for the comments. We had already told our close friends and family, so it was just to let the rest of our world know about it. :)
I got an e-graphic made with an announcement. I emailed it out to my special people and then a little while later I posted the graphic on my Facebook wall. People liked it.
