not sure where to post this…
I’m emailing out our save the dates and planning on asking for or confirming peoples addresses at the end of the email- above they will have seen the save the date picture and info.
Should I reword this? Any suggestions?
Dear John Doe,
We hope to see you in October, and want to make sure we send your invitation to the right place! We have your mailing address as:
123 Weddingbee Lane
If this address will not be valid this summer or fall, please respond to this email with an updated address as soon as possible.
Dear Jane Smith,
We hope to see you in October, and we want to send your invitation to the right place, but we don’t have your mailing address. Could you please respond to this email with an address where we can mail you invitation (address valid this summer and fall)?

Those sounds great to me – polite and to the point.

I think it works. I did email save the dates too. It was good that you mentioned the specific time the address should be valid. I used weddingwire to collect my addresses and it was so much easier having an electronic record of everyone’s address. The only other thing would be to include the exact date of the wedding in the email.

I think both sound just fine. Polite and to the point 🙂

thanks! they’ll see the date twice before this note in the email and our reply-to email address is the date written out.

This sounds fine. I love your idea of doing Save-The-Date Cards and getting addresses all at once!

this is working beautifully – i just sent out the save the date and immediately had 5 replies with mailing addresses we didn’t have or that needed to be updated. hope they continue rolling in this quickly!
