If you’re not especially close, I’d ask via her parents. If you’re very close (and sure the family will be at the wedding), I say just go around there and ask in person. (If you’re not 100% sure they’re attending, then check with her parenrs first, so you don’t get her hopes up for nothing).

I do agree that junior bridesmaid is more appropriate at that age. A JBM doesn’t need to be paired with a groomsman, so it doesn’t matter that you have all your BMs already. It just means she’s like a flower girl, but wears a dress more like a bridesmaid.
