I wish I had seen all the cute ones online before I asked my girls. I just called and asked, so boring. Pinterest has some adorable ones that I get slightly green over too.

We went to our fav cafe where I had 2 giant boxes on the table waiting for them. Every layer they unwrapped had a card with a question like, “Can you walk in a straight line?” (with a pic of an aisle) – “Can you walk in a straight line whilst carryig something?” (pic of bouquet) etc….about 8 boxes and the final one was a small box with a card on top saying “Will you be my….. ” they opend the box up to a cupcake saying “Bridesmaid”

They loved it, it was all the excitement of pas the parcel (without having to share!) and they have a stack of pretty floral boxes to store bits and bobs in.

Chaedra:  I think it is advisable to ask them privately. One of them may feel obligated to be excited and say yes if they are asked in a group, when they may really need time to think.

I made boxes! I painted them and the top of the lid is picture frame so I put a picture of us in it. In each box was a card, nail polish in my wedding color, chocolate and mini bottle of grey goose.

So I actually just asked my girl to offically be my bridesmaids this past weekend. I hosted it at a cute Cuban Brunch spot in NYC and had special cards made. I bought the card from an etsy seller. She was awesome…the entire order and shipment process was fast and easy and they came out great. My girls loved them .The card had the wedding date and states”dress information to follow” There is also space for you to include a cute quote that is relevant to each girl to make it more presonalized. Here is the link if you want to check it out:

I also had ring pop cupcakes made for everyone as dessert. We laughed, we was an awesome time. 🙂

I’m only having a maid of honor – and we both knew well ahead of time 🙂 it ended up working well for me because I asker her in the same way I was proposed to 🙂 I knew about my ring a week ahead of time, and we’d agreed not to do anything silly, like wait once the ring was in . . . So my fiancé picked up the ring on his way home from work, then when he got home, he got down on one knee and said “Let’s make it official . . . Will you marry me?” So, I printed a card for my MOH that had elements that match our stationery, and put on it “Let’s make this official . . . Will you be my maid of honor?” She knew the proposal story, and was delighted 🙂
