Ok so here’s the deal – I am getting married in 2.5 weeks (agh!) and I am not sure what I’m going to be doing with my last name. I am SO STRESSED trying to get everything done for the wedding. I discussed it with my FI and our officiant and decided I would like to take some time to think about it AFTER the wedding before I make my final decision.
Our planner is pressuring me to decide how we want to be announced by the dj for our grand entrance. I don’t think anyone will notice or care what he says, unless we make him say the strangest most awkward thing on earth.
Does “Now for the first time as husband and wife, please welcome the bride and groom, Peanut and Jujubee!” sound ok?

There is no problem with only being announced by your first names. I will forwarn you that friends and family may still make the mistake of calling your Mrs. HisLastName from time to time if you end up choosing to keep your maiden name. Be prepared with a response because most people are trying to be polite rather than rude when they do that.

That’s totally fine. People won’t even really be listening, since they already know your names. They’ll just be excited to see you and get the party started.

that’s what we’re doing too – introductions by first names only.
our situation is a bit complicated because I’m staying the exact same name at work, letting his friends and future kids’ contacts call me his last name only (they’d all assume that anyway), but it’ll really officially be that I’m just adding his last name as a second last name with no hyphen.
he’s going to stay with his last name as far as work and everybody is concerned, but officially he’s adding my last name after his as a second last name without a hyphen (like I’m doing with his). so there’s no cute, fun way to introduce us and our new last names at the wedding and no reason to really. all of our wedding stuff has been our first names only anyway.
