    Hi Bees-

How did you bind your ceremony programs?  I've purchased some cardstock for the covers and some linen paper (cut slightly smaller than the cardstock) for the programs but am at a loss as to how to bind them.  At the last wedding I went to, the programs were hole-punched and then had ribbons tying them, but it was a little inconvenient as you couldn't full open them.  Not sure about staples (would need to an open-jaw stapler).  Looking for ideas...

    Thanks!!

Ours are being folded like cards (like a normal birthday style card kind of thing) turned horizontally one inside the other.  So we're using a ribbon along the "spine" of the cards to bind them.  I didn't want to hole punch or staple because of the issues you outlined in your post.  I hope that made sense....

@SouthernTulips -- thanks!  I was thinking that might work but I am worried about the pages slipping (meaning we had the inside paper cut smaller so a bit of the cardstock edging would show when it was open, like a border).  If it's not securely bound, I'm afraid the edges won't look right.  Did you find that to be a concern?

not really...as long as the ribbon is tied pretty tight along the binding its good and the pages don't slip around - unless you'd really want them to.  I mean if someone were messing around with it and wanted to get it off they totally could, but otherwise it's all good.  I'm also putting little notches in the seam of the cardstock to prevent the issue :)

@SouthernTulips -- notches in the cardstock -- that's a perfect solution!!  What are you using to do that?  A hole punch?

Maybe scoring the pages like you would for a greeting card will prevent the pages from slipping and will make them easier to turn and stay. That's what I plan on doing with mine at least.

eyelets with a washer so the pages can swivel around.  you can get an eyelet punch (I recommend the crop-a-dile ones) and different colored eyelets to match.  brads might be another option too.

@Cheeks11 - I'm super new to DIY, what does scoring mean?

@Zaylee, thanks, I will check out the punches you suggested.
