You definately would want to wear a short, cropped, jacket. Because of the weather and temperature, you could definately get away with a short fur. That would be beautiful! Especially since your dress looks wintery.....
You can also try a nice button down cardigan although I don't think it would have the same effect.
what about a fur stole? sorry if this isn't pc, but i think they're beautiful!
I would go with a pashmina... you could get it in whiteor cream OR in the color of your bride's maid's dresses! You can tie it behind your back so it doesn't cover up too much of your dress too.
Thank you ladies, so much! I do not know how I didn't think of a cardigan alternative. Both (fur and pashmina) are great ideas. Anyone know where to get a cropped fur or stole (I am never pc) that doesn't cost an arm & a leg?
I don't know of one site in particular, but google "fur shrugs for weddings" and you'll get a lot of hits. I did that when I was considering wearing one for my wedding (until we changed it from winter to spring), but I can't remember exactly who they were in order to provide you with a link. Good luck! I think the fur or faux fur would look divine!
I have seen other people suggesting getting furs from vintage stores, estate sales...if you were here, I'd also suggest garage sales and bazzars at churches in ritzy neighbourhoods!
On the other hand, faux might be way cheaper!

This is my gown...
We are getting married in September in Germany (average temp. 60 degrees). We will be outdoors for the majority of the evening and I am anticipating on getting a bit chilly at some point of the night. Does anyone have any suggestions of what to coverup with? I think I need something very simple (because the dress is pretty elaborate), and something that doesn't cover up the dress too much. Anyone else needing to cover up? I would greatly appreciate any feedback... Thanks ladies!
