Hello Ladies (And Gents),
I am eager to collect approx 110-150 wine bottles of different sizes and shapes and cut them into different heights to use as clustered candle holders as part of my centerpieces. The candles will be INSIDE the bottle not sticking out of the neck of the bottle. I have looked at countless tutorials, however they make me nervous. Some involve nail polish remover and fire and others seem like they really wouldn’t be able to pull of a smooth finish.
Any ideas??? Suggestions for hardware? Suggestions for locations that will do it for me for $2 a bottle?

I just wanted to throw out there that we have someone do this for my candle shop, and this can be FAR HARDER THAN IT LOOKS. My very handy and tool-heavy fiance also tried sawing off some beer bottles to see if he could do it, but he gave up. It’s very time consuming (he spent at least 30 minutes with each bottle), and has a high margin of error.
FWIW, we pay someone $3 per bottle for her to cut it. She’s a professional glass artist but it still takes her time and plenty of attention to do it. It’s a great idea, but I might suggest trying something else.
