My fiance is a huge Dave Matthews fan and has requested that our first dance be to "You and Me".  Being that this is the only thing he has really requested I really want to make it happen.  Unfortunately, besides the middle school sway, neigher of us know how to dance and this song is slightly faster than most first dance songs..  Does anyone know what style of dance would be appropriate for this song?

Don't worry too much on if you are dancing correctly, just enjoy the moment and relish in it while you push everything else out of your mind.

I guess we did the middle school sway Laughing

    Love the song choice.

@PrincessBrideSuzy: Let me know if someone PM's you about this!  I am in the same boat... the only request from my fiance has been that "You and Me" is our first dance.  I'm seeing middle school sway in our future : )

That was our first dance!  Now every time I hear that song it makes me smile- like this morning in Starbucks.

It was so much fun too!  We never really practiced it though.

We just did the circle around on the floor (as you call it, the middle school sway), then when the song sped up we went with that cool rhythm, then circled when it slowed again, and so on.

@lemondrop: I don't know if we can even pull that off!  We should practice in our living room.  I thought that maybe it would fit with some sort of ballroom style step that we can learn.  Perhaps not!

Love this song - we are doing it as the last song of the night! We are just going for it - no plan!

@Future Frett: Why would someone PM her about the song? I am curious!

I LOVE that you asked this question! I am in the exact same boat. I think we may have a dance lesson or two with some pointers specifically for this song. If you have decided anything since the last post, let us know :)
