I've seen people use Christmas lights, hanging flowers, pomanders, tissue paper pom poms, handing lanterns etc. Are you decorating the base or the branches? Is it a big tree or a little tree? I'm sorry I'm not more help...
One of the most beautiful tree decorations I've seen are white ribbons just tied from the branches and left to blow in the wind...gorgeous! Or you could tie thick ribbons around the trunk and tie bows, which would also be lovely. I've also seen many pictures of ceremonies under trees where the trees aren't decorated at all.
Good luck! ![]()
I like hanging lanterns or string lights. You could also use fabric which I think looks really nice like in the attched photo.
How about hanging lanterns with candles, hanging votives, colored streamers (for a daytime wedding), or pomanders (for either)? All would be a really beautiful way to showcase the spot. I know I have some images saved, so I'll try to dig them up for you if you'd like to see some inspiration!
I definately like the lantern idea.
What other kind of decor do you plan on having at the reception? Maybe try bringing some ideas from the reception to that tree.

We are getting married in front of this awesome tree. I have no clue though how to decorate the tree. Without any sort of decoration it will look pretty plain, and other than the aisle of petals it will be the only decor at our wedding.
Sorry, I don't have any pictures of trees as an example and I have no clue what kind of tree it is- but it is not an evergreen, sequoia or maple. It has long branches. Thats as far as my knowledge of trees goes.
Any suggestions?
Thx
