Apologies in advance – this is mildly rambly
We are having a cocktail-style reception (aka heavy apps). We will still have traditional tables/chairs set up for some guests, cocktail tables, bar stools, etc, etc, etc. BUT, I’m super concerned about our “regular” tables looking too empty. They are 72″ rounds – aka huge (normally there are 10 people at these tables).
So, here are the facts at hand:
number of 72″ tables: 8
linens: currently undecided, but something in the black and white color family (white with black overlay, white with B&W stripe overlay, etc) – also taking suggestions here
what we currently have for the tables: the TBD linens, “reserved” signs on two of the tables for our VIPs/elderly, six emerald green votive holders with candles, and our centerpieces – large (about the size of a traditional charger/large dinner plate), round, full arrangements of white hydrangeas with a b&w striped ribbin going around the middle of the vase.
what WILL NOT be on the table: plates, glasses, napkins, favors (since we won’t have assigned seats (or seats for everyone for that matter, it wouldn’t make sense).
So – what to add to fill up the table? My thoughts – some of our custom coasters (strange to just…place on the table?), some gold table scatters (aka sequins) (our colors are black, white, gold, and emerald)….and that’s all of got. Mirrors don’t really “go” with our theme…
So any ideas of how to take up more space at the world’s largest tables?
