So I have solved my favor emergency. I am buying two pallets of watermelons from a local farmer. They are the smaller seedless variety of melons but there will be 100 of these things. I want to display them at least some what artfully but I am having nightmares of pyramids of melons crashing down. I don’t want to leave them on the pallet with the big cardboard “sleeve” either.
Suggestions? They can be left outside, so I won’t have to lug these things too far.

Haha awesome! Really awesome to give watermelons as favors! I can’t get over how cool that is…
Anyway, I suppose you can’t just put a watermelon on top of each person’s plate, because that would be inviting a different sort of disaster. I’m thinking you could fill up a big old wooden wagon with these things, and make an artful country scene out of the whole thing. See the pictures below, and pretend all the pumpkins are watermelons!

What a cute idea! I’d love to go home with that.
A hammock between two trees.
A trough borrowed from a local farmer or a feed store.
children’s wagons staged in different places
in a row boat or canoe
in a bed frame or children’s crib
