Are you staying there also? If so could you possibly leave and go upstairs and change and then come back down and have drinks at the bar with your friends?
Could you stand outside your reception room and say goodbye to the guests as they were leaving? It's kind of reverse from the usual but then you could go party with your guests at the bar.
is a grand exit important to you? if not... just don't have one. we're not. i've seen fake grand exits, where the couple gets in a limo and goes around a circle just to come back to the hotel. personally i find it weird and a waste of money for the limo... but if it's important to you than do it!

Um, ok so I've been thinking about this part of my reception - we are having our wedding out of town at a lodge, and many family/friends are staying there overnight as well. The reception has to end by 11 (venue rules), but you have the option of continuing your party at the bar. So...in this case, how do you plan a getaway? I assume FI and I will want to continue on with guests at the bar, but wouldn't it be weird to sort of leave in a grand exit.....and then come back 10 minutes later?? Seriously this has my mind going in circles lol. We can't do it after the bar, cuz many guests will probably leave at the 11 mark when the DJ leaves.
