One cool thing about moss is that it doesn’t die, it goes dormant.

Try googling ‘moss transplanting’ or ‘moss propogation’ to read more about how to grow it yourself/ encourage new spore growth after periods of dormancy.

You can buy fake spanish moss at places like Michaels. Then you can get a hot glue gun and glue it to something

Oh!

Another thing about real moss, it doesn’t really have roots per se, but grows on top of a nutrient (and often slightly acidic) rich substrate (i.e.:decomposing leaves/pine needles, dirt etc).

If you’re worried about dirt/wetness, moss may not be your best buddy. As it likes both those things.

I assume they ‘clean’ it by gently rinsing it or something. I’m sure you could manage the same with your shower head on gentle or some such.
