I know i saw this post somewhere on weddingbee about this but i can’t find it right now!
I want someone to design my wedding invites but i’m getting them letterpressed elsewhere!
And whats a reasonable offer to make the designer? I don’t want to insult anyone or not get any bids because the price is too low…!!

Look in the classified sections here first. I found a designer who was looking build her portfolio and was offering her design services for free in exchange for a reference and materials for her portfolio.
On etsy click on the "custom" tag and then you can create an alchemy request. Do a search for wedding invite design first to get an idea of what people charge. I think you could name any price, but it’s a matter of getting what you pay for. I bet you could find a great designer for $50 to $100.

If you really don’t know the price range on design work, you could put $1 as the price and mention you are open to negotiations – then see what bids you get.
Also – you can search Etsy to find listing for graphic design work – if you don’t find what you want, you’ll at least get a sense of pricing.
