I’d try steaming it. If you don’t have a steamer you could even try hanging it in your bathroom with the shower on full hot and door closed.

WOW that dress is gorgeous! I’ve got the exact same problem, i was thinking about asking a drycleaner if there’s anything they could suggest. Hopefully someone else here might have some other ideas also. You’re going to look stunning on your day, that necklace is perfect too!

I was told that dry cleaning and pressing is the way to go to restore the fullness to dresses. My is a little different from yours but also looked a bit sad after being smushed in the bag for months.

Professional steamer!  I can almost guarantee that’s what your wedding shop uses.

There are a lot of personal steamers on the market but if you have the money (and the room) a Jiffy commercial steamer is worth its weight in gold.

do you want a fuller skirt? or are you looking to make the details of the dress to look fuller? if you want a fuller skirt, maybe add a layer of crinoline. If you want the detail of the dress to look fuller-I think you should ask the store where you got the dress from what they suggest. You don’t want to ruin the dress.

You look gorgeous by the way. I always loved dresses like that, but it didn’t flatter me..at all! LoL you look really amazing!

@lala423:  That’s what I am doing with mine. It’s going to the cleaner to be cleaned and pressed about 4 days before the wedding. It was a sample dress thought, and has been tried on by other people, so the cleaning will make it nice as well as pouf up the tulle.

@lala423:  The J2 model (which isn’t the biggest, but still commercial grade) can be definitelyfound for under $200.  It seems steep, but I use mine CONSTANTLY as it’s much easier than ironing and often does just the trick.
