I'm very interested in this as well. It seems like the busier I get, the more I neglect my skin. I have an appt. with a dermatologist in two weeks, and I'm curious what she advises. Good luck!
If you skin looks dull, you should consider microdermabrasion. It will slough off all the dead skin revealing new, fresh, glowing skin. I've been getting a facial once a month since April, except for the month I got microdermabrasion, in anticipation of my wedding in September. My skin has never looked so good. However, if you are going to get a facial, do it at least 2 weeks before the wedding.
These are supposed to be awesome for skin brightening...Origins Brighter by Nature
I haven't tried it yet but my friend just did and I could notice the difference.
I like tea tree oil. I mix it with soap. You only need a drop. It keeps my skin surprisingly blemish-free and it doesn't bleach your clothes like benzoyl peroxide does.
As far as fine lines, I recommend doing chemical peels. You can find them on Amazon.com. They get good reviews because they work. Do it on the back of your hand first so you can get an idea of the length of time to put it on and what will happen in the next week.
I think the third thing that you can do is get a good makeup job and wear that shimmer powder on your cheekboanes.
Good luck, and I hope you look radiant at your wedding.
For my friends wedding I was recently in... her skin looked absolutely picture perfect. She normally has beautiful skin (wish we were all that lucky!) but do you know what she said she changed? Drinking a few more glasses of water a day then normal. I haven't tried it myself... but it makes perfect sense? And I honestly noticed a big difference in her complection.
Give it a try! You have nothing to lose...and it's free!
I really love Clinique's 3 step system... Their clarifying lotion keeps my skin really clear!
Everybody knows aloe vera is good for your skin. But in moisturizers and creams it's only used in a small amount. But actually you can get it everywhere...so...
...buy an aloe vera plant and cut off a leaf. Cut the leaf though lenghtwise, so you get a big area of the juicy inside. Sweep your face with the inner side - it's a little slimy, but your face will absorb all of it in a minute. You should do this in the evening, because it may leave yellow-green stains.
Continue sweeping as long as the leaf is wet enough (you might cut a pattern into it to get juice) or until your fed up with it ;). Your skin will "drink" all of it.
Then apply a night creme and go to bed.
The next day your skin will look fresher than ever. Don't forget to wash your face now (green spots).
I try to do that every week :)
I love this when my skin is dull (It's the Philosophy micordermabrasion peel). I have pretty sensitive skin, and it works very nicely for me.

My skin is usually pretty good, but I want it to look better for my wedding day. I do get the occasional breakout. My skin isn't oily, but I have a habit of touching my face (I know, its the worst thing I can do). I'm only 25 and am starting to get a few fine lines beside my mouth and eyes. Plus my skin just looks more dull than it did a few years ago. What products should I use to make my skin look brighter, possibly reduce fine lines, but that wont cause me to break out?
I have a great face wash (Trisan) and moisturizer (Complex 15) that I've been using forever, but I feel like I need to add something else. Maybe an exfoliator, serum or toner? Anyone have suggestions? Thanks!
