Have you used the macro setting? (It should look like a flower.)

Use macro, don’t use flash, and hold very still (thats the part I have trouble with). My camera hates focusing on the diamond, I suspect all of them do. With most cameras that do autofocus, you can press half way down on the button to take a picture and it will show you where its focusing. Make sure that its focusing on your diamond and not you finger or the floor ect.

Use macro, no flash & outside natural lighting. If you can buy a small mini tripod (usually very cheap) if you have unsteady hands. If you can keep them still, then skip the tripod!

Beautiful ring as far as I can tell even when blurry, btw!

Oh also.. If you can place your ring on a table, then sit your camera on the table (so it will be steady) then take the picture on macro mode they should turn out the same if you was using a tripod! (That is what I do!)

I used the tips in this blog last week to take my first non-blurry e-ring photos. http://anneruthmann.blogspot.com/2008/12/how-to-take-amazing-engagement-or.html The macro setting really helped! I highly recommend taking your ring off and posing it with some pretty backdrop too. I used a postcard from my fiance, a cork from our engagement celebration, pretty fabric, etc. Also, take a ton of photos. Some of them turned out blurry – mostly when you move, but a lot of them were good. Good luck, and, even blurry, your ring is gorgeous!
