well for my wedding we are having the ceremony starts at 2 and the recpetion at 6 pm. In my neck of the woods people expect there to be a gap, and they go chill at a bar/ go back to hotel somewhere for a couple hours. We are also taking pics in a different location too.

Fi and I saw our photographer yesterday and I'm a bit confused and concerned. Firstly, from when the reception ends and we go do our location shots, the photographer wants 2 hours... So that's from the ceremony end time; 4:30 till our entrance at the reception; 6:30. Now the reception for guests can't start until 6pm where they will be serve canapés etc until we arrive at 6:30... That means they have an hour and a half to kill between the ceremony and reception! Ad then another half hour until we arrive! What do we do?! We don't want to do our photos before the ceremony either :( but i just hate the thought of making guests wait around for us etc Do guests mind having a gap to kill time between ceremony and reception and is it half expected? Is what I described more than reasonable or do I need to change it? Advice? Thanks!
