For the 11am can you ask to take an early lunch? I know at my old job that was a pretty common occurrence and no one thought twice about it.

Maybe you need to get some tests run after your follow-up appointment?

Worst thing that will happen is that people will think you’re pregnant 😉

Hm, here we just request time off and it almost always gets approved. Or I just tell the manager that I have an appointment at whatever time and need to leave at whatever earlier time.

@orchidaloha:  Can’t you take a day off? I think it’s more appropriate if possible.

@Mee:  +1

It’s very inappropriate to use sick leave for interviews. You could get fired, be careful!

If you’re getting to the third one in a two week span, I’d recommend taking a day off and trying to get them all knocked out in a day.  It looks less suspicious if you take Friday off to have a long weekend.

@orchidaloha:  I’m having the same problem! And I have zero vacation time, too, since we’re using all of it on a trip in August and I’ve already requested the time off for that. Ugh.

It sucks, but you’ll probably have to use sick days. A lot of employers will fire you for looking for jobs elsewhere anyway (at least in at will employment states).

I’m having the same problem.  I’ve been trying to pack interviews all into one day and then just taking PTO for a full day.  I’ve been using the “wedding” excuse.  My wedding is in 2 and a half weeks and I’ve just been saying things are getting super busy.

It might be becoming suspicious, but at this point, I don’t care.  i’m hoping to quit soon! haha
