Hi ladies (& gents),
I’m here looking for some help creating roles for my family in our ceremony, and was hoping you guys would have some ideas.
My fiance has one sibling and only two first cousins, and I have one sibling and we have only 5 first cousins – total there are 9 of our family members. Four of them are already in the bridal party, and we are intending on asking my fiance’s remaining cousin and two of my cousins to be readers. One of my cousins is a professional singer so I’m planning on asking her to sing. That leaves, out of all nine, only one (my cousin) who isn’t involved somehow. Out of the seven of us cousins, we all ONLY have each other as cousins, oddly enough.
Even though he and I are not all that close due to geography, he is going out of his way to be there for our day, and I would feel uncomfortable not including him, particularly because all of our other cousins are involved, including his sister. On top of that, he will be coming in from out of town, and if I don’t figure out a way to involve him, he would be the only cousin not invited to the rehearsal dinner (due to finances we have to cut the guest list to only people who are directly involved in the ceremony).
So my question is…. how can I include him? Do you guys have any ideas, other than being in the bridal party or a reader?
