I have been quilting since I was 12, and it’s something I really love, especially because my grandma is the one who taught me. Anyone have any ideas on how to work this into the reception somehow?
My two ideas:
-have guests sign panels for a quilt (very work intensive)
-We’ll have a table with a few framed pictures. I have a throw sized quilt I made during high school that happens to be in my wedding colors. I could put that on the table as a sort of overlay over the white tablecloth (it’s shades of purple and white)
Anyone have any other ideas?

Is there anywhere you could hang a quilt on the wall…perhaps behind the dessert table or the guest book area?

Personally I love the idea of the panels for the guestbook. You can take as long as you want afterwards to actually assemble and sew it. That would be amazing to have afterwards and you’d get to use it every day!

I think the quilt guestbook is a great idea too. You are right though- it will be a lot of work. But what a precious memory of your wedding guests.
If you want to do extra work before the wedding you could make your own table runners using quilting techniques,
or napkin rings,
you could make quilted ornamnets for your favors
