Make sure it stays in the bag!! Don’t open it and try it on, no matter how much you want to! I’m keeping my dress at the shop, because they’ll hold it for free and I definitely don’t want to be tempted to wear it! If you have animals, make sure you keep the dress in the back of your closet or somewhere they can’t get…just in case!

Omg I am going to have the same problem! I am pretty sure my store will hold it for me!

I keep it in the bag (only tried it once).

And i read somewere that for a real easy way to get rid of all the crinkles after having it stored in the bag for months is to hang it in the bathroom while you take a really long hot shower. The damp will remove all crinkles and lines from it without you needing to iron or having it fixed at the dry cleaners. Might save you some $.

Definitely keep it in the bag! I hung mine from the air conditioning vent in the ceiling.  I used a bunch of zip ties to keep in place. Some venues let you steam it the morning of.

I kept my gown in the bag in a cedar closet until it was time to be altered.  Then, my seamstress kept the gown until the day before the wedding.  She steamed it so the majority of the wrinkles would be gone on the big day!

Mine is being stored, in the garment bag, at my grandmothers house.  She has plenty of closet space and no pets (or snooping fiancees Wink)
