A pad of tissue paper in your wedding colors? It’d probably be helpful to have a visual of the kind of space you’re talking about needing to fill.

That packing grass stuff might work (the stuff in Easter/gift baskets), you could get it in your wedding colors.

Priya24:  You could use a bit of poster putty on the bottom of the glass. It will stabilize it but be easy to remove.

Do you have any sort of theme that you could build on for a filler?

Otherwise you can buy huge bags of shredded colored paper inexpensively at craft stores.

Priya24:  I would use the colored shredded paper then.  You could use candy, nuts, small pretzels etc.

Do you need the boxes at all?  What about just putting one at each place setting?
