Okay, so you Bees have inspired me to make an inspiration board! I don't have Photoshop or anything, though, is there a website that will allow me to use my pictures and make one? Can anyone give tips?

Soooo.... what are the odds that birdcage veil and a similar fascinator would go with that dress? Lol.

Wow.  Everyone's avatar on this thread is a shoe.

All I see are stilettos.  Guess I never got the memo.

@crebre - thanks! It's such a dramatic dress, I think a full veil would take away from it. Mind you, the picture is the real Vera Wang gown, mine will be made by a local dressmaker. :) I am excited to start birdcage veil shopping!

Best way to decide is to bring a sample of a veil to your fitting.  I thought I knew what I wanted until I tried it on with the dress.  I ended up going out and buying a separate veil.

Which reminds me, does anyone want to buy a veil?

@jocelyn - hmm, is it a birdcage? Haha, I bet you'd get hits in the classifieds area, though.

Does anyone know a great Etsy seller for birdcages?

Yeah, I am going to post them both once I get photos. Not a birdcage.  The are both lace-trimmed mantillas.

They sound pretty. I want to try a few veils on, I've never worn one! Not even a little kid dress-up veil.

@jocelyn: i swear a few weeks ago it was all about the bird cage, but i am all about the drama recently and i just really like them.  but my head is huge so i am sure they'll look like crap on me.  i really like drop veils as well... i just think they'll cover the beautiful lines of lily's dress...

Show me a picture, crebre! I can't picture one because my brain is study-dead.

And I agree about the drop veils... I assumed I'd wear one until I found this dress and had to have it.

Ohhhh, I see now. They're gorgeous but I feel like I'd get lost under there - I'm 5', that's already going to be a battle with my dress, but that's part of the reason I'm glad I'm having it made.

I do love the bubble birdcage though. Still dramatic, but less, er, engulfing?

The current debate in my head: am I more of a feather or flower fascinator girl? I go back and forth every day. Today is feather.

@lily: oh you're tiny!! lol you'd definitely be engulfed in the bubble veil, but the bird cage would be so cute and chic... i say flowers and feathers :P

I can have both? Whoo hoo! I like it, I'll have to save that to my inspiration album. :)

Yep, I'm a shorty! FI is just over 6'. I'll be wearing 4" heels, though.

Lol, whenever I wear heels I'm always so jealous of everyone taller. Suddenly I can reach things... I can't even put away many dishes in our apt because they built the cabinet space up more than around. Sometimes I clamber up on the counter if no one's looking, but it's weird if one of my roommates walks in. Haha!

Look at this feather pic I just found, drool:

@stassney: it goes according to the order that you put them in. usually the first pic is the middle tile and so on.  it aggravated me too and i make several trial versions before i finalize it (switching back and forth until i like the end result).

@lily: i'm 5'4" here's a funny story. my sister's birthday was monday (she's 24/i'm 29) well my son and i were calling to wish her a happy birthday. my son says mommy which of y'all are the oldest. i said me sweetie, he said well how, she's bigger than you (meaning taller) Foot in mouth... i get teased all the time by my siblings because i am the oldest and the shortest by at least 5 inches!  my little sister got the biggest kick out of it though lol!

@stassney - that was frustrating me too, because I didn't upload them in any order. I just clicked "random" a few times under arrange until I got the picture I wanted (the dress picture) in the first spot, and then I wasn't picky about the rest.

@crebre - hmm, you need a crown or something proclaiming you the oldest then, haha! I'm older than FI (not by much, though) but everyone always assumes he's older and I'm 12 or something. It's frustrating to no end! I have a cousin that's in the same boat as I am - 5', baby face - and she's 29 and people still doubt her ID is real.

I was confused at first, but after a bit of googling I found this site that I think the other bees are talking about.
