Ok. I’ve seen all of the ways that people make invitaions on this site. However, I’m a wannabe crafty person. Meaning I love HGTV but whenever I try to DIY my stuff comes out looking like it belongs on the side of the show where they come and rescue you. Here’s the situation. I just bought a new laptop and noticed that Word has wedding invites. I don’t know what kind of paper to use AND it doesn’t have envelopes for the invites. What should I do???? Should I just get up early and head to Big Lots in the a.m and buy a Cricut (by the way its on sale for $99 tomorrow)? Or should I axe the idea of making my own invites?? Remember I have no tools and I’m pretty slow, so you’ll have to explain things to me.
Thanks in advance!

Honestly…why don’t you just go to Target
Thye have DIY invitations with the paper and the envelopes.
Inside it tells you how to set the margins so that everything fits
The boxes are only about $30 and they have really pretty ones too. We did ours on our home printer, from a Target kit

I was going to try and make my own invites, or buy a kit like spraguebride suggested, but then I found 123print.com. My invites ended up being less expensive than if I had done them myself!(about $70 for 100 invites with envelopes and 100rsvp cards with envelopes) Plus, I didn’t have to deal with the stress of printing them which was amazing!

I know how you feel! i felt the same way about invites when i first decided to DIY. i suggest the Brides line at Michaels. They have printable invitations. they also have 50% coupons online
I love my Michaels invites and it also comes with a website that you just type in your code and click a button and it pops up templates for whatever you bought! it is awesome!
If you just want to do this on your own; i can send you the templates that i got from my birdes invitations 😀 feel free to PM me

There are so many stylish and inexpensive options for wedding invites. If this is the first time you’re attempting to tackle a project like this I would strongly discourage you from attempting it solo. It sounds easy but can add up to a lot of time, and frustration. Don’t waste your time with Word.

Oh yeah… Michaels has a ton of Brides line of invites on sale right now! I’d go there first!
