I have one of the more popular dresses on wedding bee, the 9YP3344 from david’s bridal. http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Strapless-Lace-Fit-and-Flare-Gown-with-Side-Split-9YP3344
I have my first fitting next week and I’m wondering what I can do to change it up a little and make it different. I mean I love the dress but I’m just want it to be a little more special. Any ideas?

@wisher558: easiest change would be adding a sash, or unique head piece/veil etc 🙂 show some pictures so we can suggest

@wisher558: I think statement necklaces really make a dress YOURS.

This is me trying it on a few months ago. It didn’t quite fit when I tried it on but I’ve lost 14 lbs so it will fit better. The back is a corset back and has bling on either side of the corset and on the side that I don’t want to cover with a sash.

@wisher558: ..you know, I always find that the personalization comes from the person wearing it….you are you and if someone else had it on, it would be a totally different experience and image….one thing I’ve seen a lot of is brightly colored or unique shoes, the colored petticoat or even a tiny colored ribbon around the bottom of the skirt could bring some flare to the look without overwhelming it in the least.

@wisher558: Well you wearing it make its unique it might be popular but it looks different on every bride and the dress looks amazing on… I guess to make it unique I would say nothing, if anything get a nice bracelet or statement piece or some funky shoes, I think everything you shown has personality

@wisher558: Use ribbon in one of your wedding colors to spice up the corset back.

@beachbride1216: I LOVE this idea! Some people are so creative! Too bad i’m not one of them haha
@wisher558: I would say that if you don’t want to do a sash the best way to make your dress different is by the accents you use (jewelry, shoes, ect) I have a corset back, but am doing a sash (but the seamstress is going to cut it so its more like a belt and doesn’t cover the corset) and am also doing pink tulle over the petticoat 🙂
