So far the only thing stressing me planning wise is hair and make up! I don’t go to a regular salon.. In fact I normally cut and color my own hair (I’m brave and mostly cheap) but I really want a pro for my wedding! (cause its one thing to cut your own bangs but another to have terrible hair to remember in photos forevvvver) I’m the first of my friends to get married so I can’t really get their advice. the recommended makeup artist/hairstylists by my venue were really really really not my style (blue eye shadow and frosted lips won’t cut it)
so bees help me put! Any other ladies without home salons have advice? Anyone? Also how far in advance does this need to happen? The wedding is in January but I’m quickly seeing initial deposits stack up!

I’m having my makeup done at Sephora. As long as you spend $50 or more they do your makeup for free. Most makeup counters will do the same. I’m doing it this way for a few reasons: 1) any salons/spas or people that will come to you to do makeup want $30-80. And you don’t get any product out of it. I’m always buying stuff at Sephora, so I’ll have no problem spending $50 there. 2) I’m very pale and most salons don’t carry a wide enough range of foundation. I’ve had my makeup done at a salon twice before and both times they couldn’t cover up any flaws/do foundation on me since their lightest shades were too dark. Since Sephora uses their testers, and they literally have dozens upon dozens of colours, they’ll be able to match my skin tone. They’re actually the only place I’ve been able to find foundation and concealer that’s light enough for me!
As for salon, no advice other than maybe try going to one that you think you might like for a cut and see how they do.
