for parents to move disruptive children from the ceremony? I don’t mind at all to have kids at the wedding, and I’m sure it would be common sense to take a fussy one outside (like at church, etc) But how can I write this politely? Or will people do this on their own?

Ask your officiant/minister/priest to make an announcement prior to the wedding to remove “unsettled” children and to turn phones to vibrate … or, something to that effect.

@melisslp: I agree, that’s a great idea. You can write it all you want but if someone of “authority” makes the announcement and can give the slow reacting parents a glare, that should do the trick.

Our church makes an announcement at the begining of church usually goes something like “Parents please note our cry-room is located in the back of the church should your little ones need it” or some other variation.
