Hi bees! FI and I ordered magnet save the dates from Vistaprint and they just came in. We have our wedding website on the save the date, but my mom and some family members also requested that we send hotel information in the envelope. We decided to use the Vistaprint free business cards for the hotel information.
We are going to put the magnet (postcard size) in an envelope with the business card that has hotel information on it. Do you think I should just throw them both in the envelope or do you think I should attach them in some way (like with ribbon, almost like a bellyband?) so that people see both? I’m probably overthinking this but any ideas you have would be great!

@EllEmm005: I’d just put them in there honestly. It would be pretty to tie a ribbon, but no necessary. Usually you save all that info for the actual invitation and attach it, but since you have already done it this way I would just put it in the envelope. They will get all that info again with the invite, so don’t go through the hassle of making it pretty. Just my opinion though.

My STDs were magnets from vistaprint too. I had plans to mount them on craft paper and make them all pretty and then I gave up and just threw them in the envelope as is. I don’t think anyone would have really noticed.

@mrsztobee: thanks! I was so worried ordering from there but they look okay so far. I just got totally excited about the craft paper idea, but it makes me feel better to know you just threw them in the envelope and everything worked out okay 🙂
@megz06: thank you! you make a good point – it will definitely be prettier and larger in the invitation. And I guess since my family asked for the information to be sent, they would know to look in the envelope if they really need it.

@EllEmm005: If you’re worried people will miss it, you could always use a removable tape runner to attach the hotel info card to the STD. Then it will all be one piece, but the STD won’t be damaged when you take it off. Just be sure to put the tape on the back of the card and not directly on the STD.
