Don’t mix your decades, that dress evolved from a 1950s silhouette so art deco anything would not work well. Id go for just pretty earrings and a veil, anything else might compete with the beading and bottom of the dress.

As nice as deco jewels are, I do think it wouldn’t really go with your dress.  Since its heavily beaded I would probably do some statement studs and perhaps a simple tennis bracelet.  And a sparkly hair comb with a veil.

I think a simple pearl necklace would really highlight how classy and elegant the dress is.

Dress twins! I’m getting this one, too! I’m doing statement earrings (probably drop) and a silver jewel sash. I was worried the sash would be too much but it really blends in nicely and I love the way a sash looks. I’ll probably skip the necklace since the bodice is really detailed. I actually really wanted to do a gold sash but I thought it clashed. Exciting!

Also I tried on a few veils and the best was a lower fingertip length version. I went with very simple tulle, since lace doesn’t quite match (sadly). I’m looking at a tulle light borlero, with teeny sleeves for the church part of our wedding, I wanted a lace one but it really doesn’t go. If I can’t find something I may skip this part.

@LMentessi:  I also loved the sash idea and that’s why I tried it with the dress. I think any silver beaded one looks nice. Here I have on two different silver beaded kinds:

You have to scroll past the first dress 🙂 I also am thinking a flower hairpiece and simple tulle veil (I had one on in the last picture towards the bottom of the thread). Now I just need to figure out how to tie in my bridesmaids.

LMentessi:  did you end up going with this dress? I was wondering if you’d be willing to sell your used dress? I would be interested in buying from you if the size is right. Let me know!

thanks!

Low BUDGET BRIDE! 😉
