Bees, my FI and I are starting to get gifts delivered to us in advance of the wedding. So far, we have not gotten the names of people giving us said gifts. Is this a common problem? I would like to start thanking people and writing thank-you cards in advance. For reference, we are registered at Hudson’s Bay.

I never had this issue. 0.o
Every gift that was delivered to DH and I’s home had a name attached to the label on the packaging if a card wasn’t included.
Tricky situation. Maybe ask your parents/FILs to see if they know someone? That’s what I would do.

shyqueen12 : Have you checked your registry? or called the store? They might be able to help.

shyqueen12 : check the packing list carefully – oftentimes there’s a small note on there but it can look just like more business info. If nothing, I’d call the store, explain, and ask for the name on the billing.

Thanks for the help, bees! I just got a gift today, and checked the packing slip. The guest’s billing address was on it. 🙂

it’s very odd they didn’t include a “gift note” but their names should be, as you noticed, on the packing slip and/or the registry itself should keep a list of who bought what for you, under the heading “thank you list”.

We registered at Hudson’s Bay as well! Usually there was a card with a note on it, otherwise the billing address on the receipt/order slip should tell you 🙂
