I would have the comb go in right above the top of the bun. That is how I wore mine since I had a low up d.
@PitBulLover: Was it difficult to take your veil off, or did it ruin the style?
Even though you can't have your veil on during your trial, could you find a comb with the same measurements to try taking on and off with your hairstyle?
I had a similar hairstyle and I wore my veil under the bun, here's a pic, it's not the best, but it might give you an idea. Granted it wasn't cathedral length, but here it is.

@Evie19: That's a great idea! Thanks!
@PitBulLover: Good to know.
@dolphi99: Thanks for sharing. I like it with the flowers, too!
I vote tucking it in at the top of the bun. I had mine over the knotted portion of my half-up 'do. I just had my mom put it in with no bobby pins and it pulled right out after and didn't mess up anything.
mine came out easily too and without messing up the hairstyle either.

My hair trial is tomorrow and my veil is still en route to me so I won't have it in time. I am not sure how to wear the veil. I want to be able to take it off for the reception. It's a simple chapel length veil on a metal comb.
Not sure if I can put the veil on top or have it sit low underneath? Has anyone worn their hair similarly? What did you do? Any how to or close up pics would be great!
At least one of these pics is a bee; I don't remember the credits. My apologies. Ignore the top left; that is for makeup inspiration. :)
