Ive been getting ideas for an anniversary ring altough I still have a way to go before at least our 10 years lol. I always enjoy looking at different rings and still miss the whole wedding planning aspect of everything haha. But I was wondering what are some ideas for an anniversary ring? I know by the time my 10 year wedding anniversary comes up most likely the style may change again and what not but right now I have a 1/3 Leo princess cut solitare engagement ring soldered with a 3/8 carat wedding band. Im very happy with my set dont get me wrong but ive always wanted a gigantic engagement ring stone. (of course not everyone can get what they want its the thought that counts 🙂 ) but If later on I want to get a three stone anniversary ring how can i combine my engagement ring, wedding band and an anniversary ring? Or do some people take off the engagement ring and put away for their children and solder the wedding band and anniversary band? or has anyone just gotten i guess what you could say an updated engagement ring with a bigger stone? Either way I want to keep my engagement ring even if it means putting it away for my future children I would NEVER trade it in or sell it its just that precious to me to where I could never just part with it. Im just getting ideas for the future since im not really sure how people go about these different ideas. Attached is a picture of my wedding set to give an output of what i have now as im sure a three stoned ring wouldnt look right added with these two later on lol

My Mom wears her anniversary ring (25th) as a right hand ring. I will be getting an anniversary band (1-2mm, half eternity, black diamond) probably for our 10th, and I plan to wear it with my e-ring and wedding band.

It depends on the kind of anniversary ring you get. If you get a channel or prong set eternity or half eternity band, those are commonly worn last on your left ring finger. So you would wear your wedding band, your ER and then the anniversary band. If you choose a three stone ring, it would be your choice as to whether you would wear it as a RHR or wear it in place of your ER. I received a channel set anniversary band on our 7th anniversary and then upgraded the ER on our 15th anniversary (keeping the original; I did not trade it in). Upgrading to a larger stone in your ER is fairly common among some groups of people, and that is a decision that is entirely up to you and your Darling Husband. In our case, we decided that the marriage is what matters most, and the ring we use to symbolize it can be changed up because the meaning is the same regardless of what I wear or don’t wear.

What if instead of upgrading and trading in your ring you simply reset your beautiful stone in another setting? Then you could wear your wedding band, and your anniversary/engagement ring. I have seen people wear their rings all different ways, I think it is just what is most comfortable to you, or what you like.

a friend of mine had a custom RHR made for her 5 year anniversay, she and her husband plan to renew their vows every 5 years in a different city in the world (they’re travel bugs)
