hmmm, would you be opposed to altering the glove to give it a slip-off finger? if you keep part of the fabric at the base of the ring finger still attached to the body of the glove like an hinge (perhaps reinforced with silk thread in a matching color), you could easily slip it off to receive the ring, and then slip it back on to cover your finger.
i vote that you remove them (at least the left one) before the ring ceremony. it kinda seems to me that putting a ring over a glove would not be as meaningful anyway - almost as if it wasn't really on your finger. i think the visual of taking off the glove to receive the ring would give it extra significance.
hmm, I'm not so sure I'm keen on slicing up my heirloom gloves! But a very creative suggestion. Anyone seen a bride go down the aisle in gloves and take them off?

Hello hive!
Just found my grandmothers beautiful elbow length gloves over the holidays and they would go so well with my 60s Hepburn style dress for the big day.
But I can't get my ring to go over my finger with the gloves on! So if I wear them down the aisle, should I take them off before he puts the ring on m finger, or should he just stuff it on as far as it will go [almost all the way, just not over the last knuckle]??
What do you think??
