I’ve been a little stressed out lately, but I had a great weekend! Hoping other bees did as well.
DH and I had a super fun day on Saturday, and Sunday was supposed to be our clean/cook day, but we just ended up staying in bed and “enjoying” each other all day (oops!) haha. It was so wonderful and relaxing.
What did other bees do?

@QueenOfSerendip: Well, Friday I got a call from our Estate Agents telling us that actually, even though we pay our rent on the 1st, our notice needed to be given on the 21st to go with when we signed the agreement, so we have to pay basically an extra month’s rent on our current house, even though we’re moving out this month. So that sucked, and I had a mini-meltdown in the office.
Saturday we had our ‘marriage preparation day’ at the local Church, which was hella awkward because there were only 5 other couples, and they weren’t exactly chatty.
But Sunday was wonderfully chilled out – got laundry done, got a new summer waterproof, went to the gym, and had meatballs for dinner. I felt utterly chilled at the end of the day!

We had GREAT weekend! Friday afternoon (FI works half days on Fridays) we had a nice lunch and just relaxed the rest of the night. Saturday he went and hit golf balls and then we went to pay off the rest of my dress (yay!) and finalized our wedding bands…we wanted to know the cost and be certain of what we both wanted. We also needed to know how long in advance to order to be here in time. This was something that was long overdue so we were glad to have it done.
Then yesterday, we took back dishes from Macy’s that we were planning on registering for but chipped so much in our dishwasher, we just had to return them. We picked out new dishes, bought them and also bought new luggage for our wedding/honeymoon!!! We got some super nice luggage and we are so excited. Then we went to grocery store and came home and cooked steaks.

I had an amazing weekend but it was nothing wedding related.
I cycled 150 miles to help raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

@QueenOfSerendip: I worked most of the day on Saturday (I work two jobs) but I did manage to get in a teensy bit of wedding projects that morning before I left. On Sunday, I went rock climbing in the morning (every Sunday!) and spent the afternoon beginning work on our invitations! It’s getting so real now!

@Coral99: haha, I had to laugh b/c I also returned dishes to Macy’s! Which ones are the news ones that you picked out? I’m just curious 🙂

@July27Bride: They are the Maison Versailles collection made by Macy’s. I just put a warning on the Gifts board in case anyone else was considering it. We were very disappointed because we both loved them. LOVED. But they didn’t hold up. 🙁
What did you return?

We’re having our wedding at our home, so we spent 12 entire hours putting in new flooring in our kitchen on Sunday! Time consuming and a little stressful, but we did it together! 🙂

FI and I spent all day Saturday together as a date day–it was awesome. We ran errands, had lunch, saw Star Trek. We normally spend Saturdays with FMIL, which is fine, but it was really nice for it to be just the two of us.

Friday night/Saturday morning I was busy preparing for my tea party on Saturday afternoon – cleaning, shopping, baking, setting up.
Saturday afternoon I had 11 girls over for “afternoon tea” which was a blast. My husband was out of the house for the afternoon, and when he came home we went to try a new restaurant nearby and then we just had a relaxing evening.
Sunday I volunteered with a group of girls at the Ronald McDonald House. About once a month, we go in and make brunch for the families there. Yesterday’s theme was Dr. Seuss 🙂 Then my husband and I went to visit MIL, had lunch with her and then went to the gym.

Mine was busy and a little annoying! FI was out most of the time with his friends, which I don’t mind except on Saturday he didn’t let me know when he’d be home, so was left waiting to make dinner and we had to eat super late (and it’s not like he expected me to eat on my own, since he didn’t have dinner either…). Stupid little thing, but I was annoyed with him a good part of the weekend. We got a lot of wedding stuff done, though.
Also, our place just got advertised for renting since we’re moving out next month, but our landlady didn’t give us any notice for the first showing (luckily we were out to lunch, but what if we had been in bed!?), and also two separate times random people came up to the house trying to look around. Um, we live here, you can’t just try to barge your way in without an appointment!!!
