I’m freaking out a little bit and trying to stay calm, so here I am for a little reassurance.
On Wednesday, just as Fiance and I were about to head out the door to head to my family in Indianapolis for the weekend, I got a call from our venue coordinator to let us know that the ceiling of our chapel had started to cave in – the safety team brought in to inspect it decided it needs to be completely replaced, and now we do not have a venue for our ceremony with 6 days to go.
Hopefully we’ll get it all worked out tomorrow. We’re holding our wedding on the campus where we’re both grad students, and they’re being very good about doing whatever they can to help us get this figured out, but it just has me very anxious.
So, did you have any last-minute problems come up? How did they turn out?

Oh no! I had some last minute snags, but this makes mine seem like nothing! We were short a centerpiece, so we just took the bridesmaids’ bouquets after the ceremony and stuck them all in a vase and put them on that table.
I am so sorry! Please update us and let us know, I’m sure you guys will be able to work something out!

@SadieBee: I’ve been thinking of you! Did you get everything worked out with changing venues?

@SadieBee I am getting married in that same chapel and received that same phone call a week ago. However, I’m not getting married until July so we’re crossing our fingers that they’ll replace the ceiling and have it finished in time for us to still get married in the chapel. My Fiance and I attended OU for undergrad and grad and just moved out of state.
Best of luck to you! She told me Walter Rotunda and Ridges Auditorium would be good alternatives. I have never seen the Ridges auditorium but it might be unique and quirky for a ceremony 🙂 Good luck!
