I don’t think the issue is that you need to drop weight, but more that you need to focus on how you feel in the dress. On your wedding day you want to feel confident and beautiful and if the fact that you put on 5 lbs is bothering you then you should work to do something that can help make you feel confident. Forget the comments from your mom as best you can. My mom literally says the EXACT same things to me. She probably said that to me about my wedding dress too but I blocked it out most likely so I can’t remember specifically. She definitely said it to me about many other dresses for other events in my life. I would say that if you want to feel more confident you should work on doing something to promote healthiness. Start going for walks if you don’t work out much, cut out something that is sugary or bad for you, like soda if you drink it. If those examples don’t apply to you then choose something else. Do something to give you the confidence boost that you need. And then the added bonus is that you’ll probably naturally drop those 5 lbs.

well if it makes you feel any better mine doesn’t fully clasp in the back! you look gorgeous.  I wouldn’t stress too much b/c that can cause weight gain

i have to tell you i’ve been doing SUPER low carb for the last two weeks and have already dropped 3 lbs. Haven’t tried the dress on but something is working so im hopeful

you’ll be fine 🙂

That is a really bizarre corset! The way it starts unusually high on the bodice is probably why it looks off to you.

It has nothing to do with your weight–The corset is designed bizarrely!
