Firstly - I really like the dress. My favorite bit is the small amount of "lace overflow" on the bust.
I'm all for flowers/feathers (I'm wearing some)- but I think I might go with some bling- like a hair vine?

I think this is a great dress. It does actually seem quite simple to me, though with nice detailing as well (kind of the best of both worlds). It is simple enough that the whole world of accessories is open to you. I don't think you could pick a wrong accessory, and I bet a fascinator would be perfect!
I agree with doctor girl. When you said you didn't get a simple dress, I was invisioning some kind of tulle ball gown or something!
I think that dress is simple in its shape, but sophisticated with the lace detailing.
I think you could pretty much get away with any kind of accessories you want- from really fancy to really simple.
I would envision your dress with something like these (from www.etsy.com) called fascinators:

Haha no, no tulle ballgown for me. I'm so weird about dresses, I know this really is fairly simple, but before buying one I never would have dreamed of beading or anything at all. I'm a total hippie and the sparkly/lacy/fancy thing just really isn't on my radar. But I'm so relieved to hear some opinions on the matter!
These are some great options! I really like the last one w/ pearls that rosy posted.
Tres posh, i love it. if you got a lace flower it would totaly look great!
@rosychicklet: Do you know which Etsy vendor those pictures came from? I LOVE THEM!
I didn't keep track- but I used the search feature and put in "fascinator" and they came up. Sorry!

I'm in a bit of a bind here. I'm having some dress regret because I'm unsure of what I can do with this dress. Shortly after I got engaged, my mom really wanted to go out dress shopping and we went to a few stores and bought a dress right off the rack. It fit perfectly, it's very pretty, and they all loved it. I liked it a lot too, but it didn't fit into my one demand: SIMPLE. I didn't want a big dress, a dress that had a ton of detail going on, etc etc. But the stores we had visited had such small selection for simple sheath dresses. So... I feel a little like I compromised and settled too early in the process. I know there have been plenty of others before me who have felt the same so I don't feel too crazy :)
I had wanted a simple dress so I could have a cool hair flower/feather thing and go without a veil (just not the veil type). But I'm wondering if that's just way too much going on all in one look? How would you ladies in the hive accessorize this dress?
