So things were going well at work (despite the secret that DH wants to move us to Texas, everyone here thinks we’re looking for houses in town)….but suddenly my boss is moving all my responsibilties to outside contractors and saying ‘you’re doing great!’ all the while.
Now he crafts up a message to all our tradeshow peeps and is sending it out. Plus he isn’t having me go out for the entire show.
I want to approach him about this because to me it seems like a trend and I don’t want to have all my work offloaded. I’m bored, here!
What would you do?

@jpalm13: Look for a new job, in Texas. I hate to say it, but you look like you’re about to get RIF’ed

@bitsybee: Seriously! That’s what I’m thinking and my coworker/friend is telling me I’m nuts. I will say this though- one of the higher ups loves to fire people for no reason at all.

Secretly look for a job in Texas!
Or at least something to tide you over in the meantime.
This sounds like a “planning to let someone go” pattern to me… I’d rather be ahead of the game.

And now my boss comes running down the stairs going ‘and this is why I’m doing it this time! The big man has made MORE CHANGES”…..
so freaking confused…

Either they want to promote you to a different position… Or they’re going to make you redundant.
Either way, I’m with your DH–Texas sounds awesome!
