Some background info: This is the start of the aisle for the ceremony. Its also the first thing my guests will see. Its a labor day weekend wedding. Colors are: navy blue, olive, slate, white. No tacks, tape, nails, glue etc. Although I noticed there are nails already in place from where it looks like someone hung decorations.

The stage we will be getting married on has a similar pillar style so I plan to drape tulle from the center down and around the pillars with some gathered on the ground. Should I do the decor for this entrance? Should it be fancier? Pics appreciated :)

I guess it depends on the look and feel of your wedding but the first general thing that comes to my mind is draping.. lights and possibly moss covered initals

Were going for a more casual laid back wedding, bbq catering, etc.

I ALWAYS adored all those moss covered initials over doors and I never even considered using them. Good idea...

I agree with moss covered initials or moss covered pomanders.

Are there hooks for hanging baskets?  If not, maybe some of the wrought iron hooks that you stick in the ground?  You could make inexpensive hanging baskets with white flowers to match your tulle.

    I'm having catered bbq too!
