@MrsFutureG:  I think your on the right track. However, have you considered using something like this? You could put it up against the window and still have the natural light come through while giving you privacy. Or how about a privacy screen? I have attached some links for you to see.

If you want to do a cloth curtain, like you mentioned, I’d maybe look into hanging it with a tension rod. They are pretty cheap and don’t require any hardware installed.

Maybe a privacy film for the windows, Maybe only going up 6′ from the floor. It’s contact paper people use on bathroom windows that blurs it so no one can see in, but still lets light in. Really inexpensive, just a couple dollars a roll so total cost less than $10. It should go on fairly easy and peel off really quick without a leaving a residue. Or you could soap the windows, basically use a bar of soap to create a haze on the windows to give you privacy. A little cheaper, maybe $1 and would take a little longer to “clean” up. Or you could use white shoe polish (like people do on car windows). You could even create a pattern with the soap or shoe polish.
