I am currently looking for my dress. I found this one from Alfred Angelo and I am in love! How would you describe it? Is it a-line? What kind of body shape/height would suit this dress do yo think? Has anyone else bought an Alfred Angelo dress? The description from the site is below:
Soft Net over Satin, Embroidered Lace Crystal Beading, Sequins, Pearls Organza Flowers Optional Spaghetti Straps Chapel Train Also Available with Lace-up Back as Style 2280C

I would call that dress a trumpet, since it hugs the hips lower than an a-line would. It almost borders on a sheath. I cant really say who it would suit. Different dresses fit different bodies…. well, differently. It’s hard to say how it will look without trying it on.

@zippylef: Thank you so much for the post! I never really thought about a trumpet!

Grecian Goddess. That doesn’t explain the style of the dress but it’s what it reminds me of.

@kfiorita: a beautiful sheath goddess dress..not a trumpet, doesn’t hug anywhere..

I’m an AA bride – my dress is a trumpet. I say that one is a sheath. It doesn’t hug like a trumpet does.

My first thought was sheath, as well. It doesn’t curve in at your thighs, it just falls.

I would call it a column dress a with a train.

Okay thanks ladies 🙂 So majority of thoughts are on sheath! Any other ideas? Looks like my favourite dress style is sheath 🙂 not ball gown after all lol
