- Wedding: July 2016 - Chateau
My fiancé and I just found our wedding cocktail/reception venue! We are getting married in France and found this lovely chateau near where we live. My fiancé is French and I am English. I am starting to worry about the space in the reception.
We are having about 100 people to our wedding (definitely half french, half english) and we are planning to do a cocktail hour and sit down dinner. In France (or maybe just in my Fiancé’s family) weddings finish about 5-6 am. There are special little things that are done in between courses (games for bride and groom etc). My venue says that it holds 140 people, but I’m not sure about that looking at the pictures online of other weddings. There might not be any space for the first dance before or during the dinner, no space for games etc.
How would you plan this reception? (First dance after dinner? or in the garden? etc
Here are the photos of the reception space and the gardens outside.
<br />There are 10 tables that seat 8 and 5 other rectangle tables. We are doing a buffet. We can use any other room in the Chateau (the library is the next room across)
Just looking for a little help and feeling a bit overwhelmend.
Thanks for any help!
